April Creative Challenge - Spring

Today is the first of my April Creative Challenges over in Facebook. 

Every week during April, I am setting a creative challenge for everyone to join in. Simply make and share something in keeping with that weeks theme in the Facebook Post comments and get your name in the raffle to win a load of goodies at the end of the month!!  This week the theme is "SPRING".

Here is my entry:

I've chosen a retiring bundle "colour and contour" because it gave me the floral image that reminded me of primroses and all the dies I needed to create the border shapes, frame and die cut images I wanted!!

For the card, I used a standard card base and then die cut away the front right hand edge using the scalloped die. Next I added a layer of coordinating patterned paper inside the card so it peeks down the edge that's cut away.

I stamped the flowers in memento black and coloured them using stampin blends before mounting it onto one of the die cut frames and, using 3D foam strips stuck this to the front panel of the card.

I created a matching tag using the leftover card and patterned paper!

I used parakeet party, basic black and white and Daffodil Delight as my colour pallet.
