One of the things we love to do as Stampin Up! demonstrators is gather together and share ideas and creativity. Last weekend, my team had a get together in Fareham, Hampshire and as part of that day, we all took things to share and make together.
I took this cute card with me and enough supplies for others to make it while we were together during the day.
It starts with half a sheet of A4 folded in half again in fresh fressia, a first layer of 14.3cm x 9.9cm added in gorgeous grape and then the strips of designer series papers are added cut from the Perennial Lavender suite (162593). I cut the following strips:
2 strips of 1" wide by 3 1/4" long
4 strips of 3/4" wide by 3 1/4" long
These are arranged as shown with some a little higher and some a little lower across the card.
Next a sentiment was stamped on a piece of white card - I used the Biggest Wish (155052) stamp set. The butterfly was taken from the Paper Butterfly Accents pack (162612) and coloured using a blending brush and some gorgeous grape ink with a final touch of a wink of stella to the wings.
Once mounted onto the card front, I added some of the purple fine shimmer gems (162611).
You can adapt this card to any suite or theme using any scraps of patterned paper you have left over. Do let me know if you give it a try.
Everything I have used can be found HERE in my online store.
