Spring time inspiration using Perennial Lavender

by Jenny Smith, February 21, 2024
The January to April mini catalogue is full of springtime inspiration and as we have so many occasions to celebrate at this time of year, I've been making the most of it!
The beautiful lavender papers used in this card are the focus and star of the design - simple layering using the dies from the suite - the perennial postage dies and the designer series papers are layered and then I added a paper butterfly that I had inked up using a blending brush.

The front of this card is beautiful in it's simplicity but inside..... WOW!!!  Look at that spread - it's called an accordion fold and is a simple concertina either side of the central fold at 1" intervals.

Either end of the patterned paper is adhered to the inside of the card to allow the concertina to fold freely and provide that wow factor when you open the card.  I have used the full 12" width of the paper here too so you get to show off even more of that beautiful lavender paper.  The finishing touch is created using another die from the perennial postage dies with a white smaller layer so you have somewhere to write your greeting.
